Hours Hours vary * by appointment
Areas Served Brant County ; Brantford
Eligibility * any elementary or secondary student new to Canada, entering the Ontario school system for the first time (SK- grade 12) 
* any student from a French language school where French is their first language in the home 
* any student from the United States, United Kingdom, New Zealand, or Australia who has spent less than two years in an English language school system 
* Canadian born students who have moved to a country where English is not their first language and have re-entered Canada after two or more years 
* First Nation, Métis, or Inuit students who speak a Native Language in the home or are entering the school board from a Native Language Immersion program 
 
Coordinated Language Assessment and Referral Centre 
Adults 18 years or older are eligible if they meet one of these criteria: Canadian citizens born outside of Canada; permanent resident; Convention refugees, protected persons or refugee claimants; workers admitted under the Live-In Caregiver program; applicants under other programs holding the initial letter of approval from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada

Description (Service) A place where all new English Language Learners and First Nation, Métis, or Inuit students and their families are welcomed into the Grand Erie District School Board community 
 
Services offered: 
* language and cultural interpretation 
* assessment of student's current level of English language and math skills 
* recommendations to appropriate programs 
* introduction to the Ontario school system 
 
Coordinated Language Assessment and Referral Centre 
Eligibility screening, language skills assessment and referral to government-funded English language programs including Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC), LINC Home Study, English as a Second Language (ESL) programs, Enhanced Language Training (ELT), Occupation-Specific Language Training (OSLT), and Specialized Language Training (SLT)
