Description

Description (Service)

A national youth cadet program available to individuals 12-18 years of age

  • cadets receive training in over a dozen subject areas including boating, sailing, ceremonial drill, ropework, and air rifle marksmanship
  • cadets will receive more than 40 hours of community service during their service with the group fulfilling their requirement for their OSSD
  • summer training (camp) opportunities are available every year
  • cadets are free to leave the program at any time and are not expected to join the Canadian Forces
