Description (Service)

A national youth cadet program available to individuals 12-18 years of age

cadets receive training in over a dozen subject areas including boating, sailing, ceremonial drill, ropework, and air rifle marksmanship
cadets will receive more than 40 hours of community service during their service with the group fulfilling their requirement for their OSSD
summer training (camp) opportunities are available every year
cadets are free to leave the program at any time and are not expected to join the Canadian Forces
