National historic site - early 19th-century farmstead and the birthplace and childhood home of Adelaide Hunter Hoodless

Offering:

  • tours, programs, pavilion rentals and special events to the public
  • educational programming and summer camps 


Adelaide Hunter Hoodless is credited with helping to establish the National Council of Women, VON, Women's Institute, YWCA, domestic science into the Ontario Public School System and for getting domestic sciences recognized and taught at the university level
