Eligibility Over 16 years of age and legally residing in Ontario. Eligibility for rent geared to income housing units follows the guidelines of the Service Manager of the City of Brantford and the Social Housing Reform Act of Ontario

The Housing Department provides assistance and programs to those in need of housing, shelter, persons living in social housing units as well as persons living in substandard housing

Description

Description (Service)

Responsible for the administration and management of housing units and provides rent supplements within the City of Brantford and the County of Brant

  • provide coordinated access to support individuals experiencing or at risk of homelessness by accessing individual situations and connecting to community supports
  • manage wait lists
  • work with housing providers and landlords
  • own and operate community housing units


Municipal Housing – a division of the City of Brantford Housing Department

  • provides professional property management services for city-owned residential housing located within the City of Brantford and County of Brant County, including both subsidized and non-subsidized residential housing properties
  • provides contract management services for municipal and private non-profit housing corporations on a fee-for-service basis
