Description (Service)

Midwifery Services

  • provide care to healthy women throughout pregnancy labour and the first six weeks after the birth, and their newborn infants 
  • provide counselling and teaching
  • monitor the health of the mother and baby

Postpartum Services/Beyond Birth Program 

  • in partnership with the Pediatrics at Brant Community Healthcare System (BCHS), this program provides newborn follow-up care for up to 8 weeks, including: jaundice screening, weight checks, immunizations, newborn care education, support for breastfeeding and lactation, and peer support for new parents
