Description

Description (Service)

A place where children ages 4 to 12, regardless of their level of ability or disability learn the fundamentals of safety and awareness

Programs include:

  • fire prevention
  • personal safety
  • electrical safety
  • smoke alarms
  • traffic safety
  • bicycle safety
  • internet safety
  • social media safety


Children are encouraged to demonstrate skills they have learned in a miniature town that is complete with sidewalks, roadways, street signs, traffic lights, stop signs and a working railway crossing

  • children navigate their way through the village by foot, on bicycles or in small battery-powered vehicles
  • all activities at the village are supervised by police officers, firefighters, and trained community volunteers
  • the village provides a safe and realistic environment for children to understand and apply the safety lessons they have learned

The majority of services are provided through structured group visits * the village also provides several community events for families
