Description
Description (Service) A place where children ages 4 to 12, regardless of their level of ability or disability learn the fundamentals of safety and awareness 
 
Programs include: 
* fire prevention 
* personal safety 
* electrical safety 
* smoke alarms 
* traffic safety 
* bicycle safety  
* internet safety 
* social media safety 
 
Children are encouraged to demonstrate skills they have learned in a miniature town that is complete with sidewalks, roadways, street signs, traffic lights, stop signs and a working railway crossing * children navigate their way through the village by foot, on bicycles or in small battery powered vehicles 
 
All activities at the village are supervised by police officers, firefighters, and trained community volunteers * the village provides a safe and realistic environment for children to understand and apply the safety lessons they have learned 
 
The majority of services are provided through structured group visits * the village also provides several community events for families
