Private insurance (e.g. auto insurance, WSIB) or other private sourcing of funding are accepted. HIRO is licensed by FSRA to process billing directly to insurance companies through HCAI

Description

Description (Service)

Provides rehabilitation services for people living with the effects of an acquired brain injury

Offers:

  • functional goal attainment
  • skill training (budgeting, organization, cooking, etc)
  • encouraging independence with activities of daily living
  • 24-hour access to internal crisis line (i.e. HelpLine)
  • virtual care services (visits, counselling with social worker, therapeutic groups)
  • linking and accessing community resources
  • teaching strategies to improve self-direction and memory
  • helping with appointment preparations (pre, during, post)
  • exploring vocational and avocational pursuits
