Affordable housing for low-income seniors, families, and adults

Services offered:

  • rent-geared-to-income housing
  • homeownership program
  • Ontario renovates program
  • housing allowance and rental supplements
  • by-name list and housing support

Homeless Prevention Services - programs that provide emergency shelter and financial assistance to those who are homeless or at immediate risk of losing their home

  • Emergency Housing Program - short-term housing support program that provides brief support in a motel for those facing a crisis of absolute homelessness
  • Housing Stability Bank - financial assistance can be used to pay rent and utility arrears or first month's rent to start up a new residence
    • benefit is available once every 24 months and eligible expenses include: last month’s rent; hydro/gas/water/propane connection fees; rent arrears if facing eviction; hydro/gas/water/propane arrears if facing disconnection or have already had service shut off
