Founded initially as the Brantford Youth Boxing Club, this club was a place where Brantford's youth could go to not only learn boxing, but also about focus, self-discipline, and self-esteem. Many adults were also attracted to these lessons and the effective workout, and in 2006, the club was renamed the Brantford Blackeye Boxing Club.
