Maximum number of dogs or cats permitted: Section 206.2.1 and 326.2.2 respectively of the City of Brantford Municipal Code states “no more than 3 domestic dogs (or cats) of an age in excess of six months shall be kept, harboured, maintained or possessed at any location within the City of Brantford”

Pit Bull Terriers, Staffordshire Bull Terriers, American Staffordshire Terriers, American Pit Bulls or a dog that has an appearance and physical characteristics that are substantially similar to the preceding listed dogs are prohibited

Cat licensing also available voluntarily and highly recommended
