Description (Service)

City approved blue boxes are to be used for the set out of recyclable materials

  • blue boxes must be between 60L (16 gallons) - 87L (23 gallons) in size
  • plastic recycling bags are prohibited
  • large wheeled recycling containers are not currently permitted for use by residents

New or replacement Blue Boxes are provided to Brantford residents, free of charge

  • broken or unusable Blue Boxes can be taken to the Mohawk St Landfill Site only, where they will be recycled
