Description (Service)

Clinical and school psychology practice provides evidence-based assessment and therapeutic treatment

Psycho-Educational and Social-Emotional Assessments. These diagnostic assessments are conducted on students of all ages for a variety of reasons including:

  • school and learning difficulties
  • Attention Deficits Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
  • intellectual and developmental disabilities
  • giftedness
  • low mood, sadness, depression
  • worry, anxiety, phobias, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
  • behavioural outbursts

Primary approach to promote well-being is through Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) CBT can be used to address the following:

  • ADHD and weak study skills
  • high functioning Autism
  • anger management
  • behavioural difficulties
  • depression
  • generalized anxiety (worry)
  • low self-esteem
  • Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
  • panic attacks
  • perfectionism
  • relationship issues
  • school refusal
  • selective mutism
  • self-harming
  • separation anxiety
  • specific phobias
  • substance abuse
  • video game addiction

Consultation services at the individual, group, and agency level. Case consultation, workshops and training sessions on a variety of topics in paediatric psychology including mental health, CBT, Learning Disabilities, ADHD, adolescent development are offered
