Eligibility

Individuals living with cognitive conditions, such as Alzheimer's, autism or dementia, who may be prone to wandering

Participants must have a note from a medical doctor identifying a condition or disability that would put them at risk of wandering

Application

Applications are completed by a caregiver who will serve as the primary contact and support person throughout the participant's involvement in the program

Description

Description (Service)

An internationally recognized program that works alongside existing search and rescue protocols to locate missing individuals more quickly through the use of wearable technology

  • program participants wear a small, trackable device that emits a unique radio frequency
  • if a participant goes missing, trained responders use specialized equipment to locate them

This program is a partnership between Haldimand County and Haldimand OPP
