Eligibility

Métis adults age 55 years and older without family support 
Must have a referral from a family physician, nurse practitioner or chiropractor; annual update of referrals required

Description

Description (Service)

The program provides holistic support to Métis adults 55 years and older

An in-home service that assists with:

  • light homemaking, vacuuming, dusting, washing floors, cleaning bathrooms, laundry and linen change
  • transportation needs for community-based errands
  • referrals
  • lawn cutting
  • snow removal
  • elder advocacy

Additional supports could include:

  • lawn care maintenance - spring clean up, maintenance to support by-laws
  • meal preparation and food insecurity funding
