Description (Service) A Community Food Educator or CFE is a volunteer certified to provide education to the community on a variety of topics related to healthy eating and safe food preparation * available to teach community groups how to select, prepare, and store healthy food * program offers educational sessions to the community in the form of: 
* Presentations 
* Food demonstrations 
* Cooking classes 
* Information booths and more 
Community Food Educators can work with you to develop sessions that meet your group's needs.Session topics include: 
* Healthy eating 
* Canada‚Äôs Food Guide 
* Cooking for one or two 
* Menu planning 
* Healthy eating on a budget 
* How to read labels & compare products 
* Food preservation/canning 
* Food safety  
* Hand washing 
* Cooking skills
