Description (Service)

Built in 1857, Edinburgh Square Heritage and Cultural Centre occupies the former Caledonia Town Hall

The Centre presents the history of Caledonia and Haldimand County through permanent and temporary exhibitions and educational and outreach programming

  • Gypsum display that highlights the mining industry along the Grand River
  • The Centre hosts exhibitions featuring area artists
  • Local history or genealogy may be researched in the Gillespie Clark Archive and Reference Library
  • Archive holdings include the surviving editions of the Grand River Sachem from 1856 to present
