Description

Description (Service)

Provide culturally grounded support to Indigenous individuals and families who are involved with or at risk of becoming involved with the justice system.  The team works to promote healing, reduce barriers and support positive outcomes through advocacy, referrals and culturally appropriate services

  • Criminal Court Worker - provides support and advocacy to Indigenous individuals involved in criminal court matters, including information, referrals and court accompaniment
  • Combined Court Worker - provides support and advocacy to Indigenous individuals involved in both criminal and family court matters, including information, referrals and court accompaniment
  • Indigenous Peer Support - provides culturally based peer support, mentorship and guidance to Indigenous individuals navigating the justice system and working toward positive change
