Description (Service)

Conservation area featuring a Heritage Village with 20 historical buildings centreed around the 1798 Backhouse Grist Mill

  • National Historic Site
  • Nature Centre, displays and a swimming pool are highlights of the conservation area
  • facilities for fishing, picnicking and camping
  • Long Point Region Memorial Forest is located at the entrance to the conservation area

Facilities include:

  • a swimming pool
  • 2 picnic pavilions
  • 160 campsites (105 with hydro hookup)
  • 2 camping cabins

The Conservation Education Centre is closed for renovations throughout the 2021 season
