Public Comments Covid-19 Update -

Child and Youth Mental Health Services - continue to be available through the crisis line, virtual counselling and outdoor counselling. The Tuesday Walk-In Counselling Clinic has moved to a Call-In Clinic

Coordinated Service Planning - employees have continue to meet and support families and community partners virtually and through in-person, outdoor services. Some in-office sessions based on service participant need are being resumed.

Student Nutrition Programs - continue to support student's access to healthy nutritious food through new partnerships with local Food Banks and Church Out Serving

Licensed Childcare and School-aged Programs - have re-opened (with a reduced capacity) using safe practices as outlined by the Haldimand-Norfolk Health Unit and Ministry of Education Guidelines

Family Early Intervention Program - Classroom Facilitators and Resource Coordinators have resumed services while working within the health and safety practice developed by child care program

EarlyON Child and Family Centre - employees are developing creative and fun outdoor activities for children and families. EarlyON sites will start in-person, indoor services in October

Contact Unit - intake and referral services continue to be provided virtually. This includes processing and managing Complex Special Needs. In-person services are available based on need

Union House - is now full (at its reduced capacity) but continues to accept new referrals.. There are many new admission safety practices, including that new residents must quarantine for a 14 day period

Bramble Retreat - program for both children and adults continues to be closed at this point in time.

Developmental Services, Early Childhood Intervention Programs, Adult and Family Counselling Programs, Youth and Adult Justice Services, and Fetal Alcohol Syndrome Disorder (FASD) Program - continue to provide virtual services as this is working well for children, youth and families. In-person and indoor services will be available based on need

Description (Service) Family Services Counselling Program - provides professional, caring and confidential therapy to individuals, couples and families. Therapists are experienced at helping people work through issues in a timely manner, using an approach that focuses on solutions. Assistance is available for issues such as anger, anxiety, depression, grief, conflict, separation/divorce, self-esteem, sexual issues, and domestic violence 
Partner Assault Response program (PAR) 12-week group education and counselling program on domestic violence and non-abusive ways of resolving conflict * victims/partners of the offender provided with support including safety planning, referrals to community resources, and information on offender’s progress  
Direct Accountability Program (DAP) - adult diversion program is provided only to individuals deemed eligible and referred by the Crown Attorney's Office
