Description (Service) | Aphasia Program - In-person (Brantford and Simcoe) and virtual programs (Brantford-Brant, Haldimand and Norfolk) Aphasia is a communication difficulty from a stroke, brain injury or brain illness. Aphasia affects speaking, reading, writing and understanding. Aphasia does not affect intelligence. People with Aphasia know more than they can say. Supported conversation groups for people with Aphasia:
Skill-building groups - Aphasia Advocacy group, music therapy group, tech group, book club etc Brain Stroke Recovery Group - monthly support group for persons with stroke or acquired brain injury and family and friends |
