  • service provided Mon-Fri 8:30 am-4 pm * for after-hours calls, the answering service will link callers to 9-8-8 Suicide Crisis Helpline for immediate crisis response.  Caller information will be forwarded to the Child and Youth Crisis Service for follow-up support the next business day

Available to any child or youth, under the age of 18 who resides in Haldimand or Norfolk counties. Anyone who is concerned about the mental health of a child or youth may also call the crisis service for assistance.

Description (Service)

Crisis intervention service for anyone who is feeling that some mental health support for children and youth up to the age of 18 would be useful in a situation that they are struggling with

  • provides telephone and/or face to face support for children, youth who may be experiencing a mental health crisis, and their families
  • crisis is self-defined by the caller
  • provides ongoing crisis follow-up, including connecting children, youth and families to other helpful community resources
