Must have physician referral or referral by medical practitioner that is authorized to order diagnostic imaging procedures such as a registered nurse in the extended class (RN(EC))

Description (Service)

Mobile services

  • all referrals must be made by a physician or medical practitioners authorized to order medical imaging procedures
  • for x-ray, residence must have wheelchair access or a maximum of three steps to accommodate the x-ray machine
  • for ultrasound, machines are more transportable and can accommodate most residences
  • payment for service must be arranged through Ontario Health atHome or the Ministry of Health Alternative Funding program

Clinic services

  • all ultrasound examinations are by appointment only
  • X-ray is on a walk-in basis
