Application Midwives do an initial assessment to determine if a woman's current pregnancy is low risk. If it is determined that a pregnancy is NOT low risk then the midwife will refer the client to an appropriate health care provider.

Description (Service) Aboriginal Midwives provide a balance of traditional and contemporary midwifery services and programs:

* labour and birth care 
* home or centre births 
* educational and emotional support

* pap tests

* parenting

* FASD/Child Nutrition Program
